Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-11-04

Summary

This policy covers ChordSheet for macOS, developed and published by Paul Schuegraf.

ChordSheet is an independent open-source ChordPro editor and player. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on servers operated by the developer. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no accounts.

What ChordSheet stores on your Mac

None of this leaves your Mac. If your Mac is backed up or your files are in a synced folder, those services handle them under their own policies. Removing the app and its data deletes what ChordSheet stored; your song files stay where you put them.

Network connections

ChordSheet doesn't contact any developer-operated backend, analytics endpoint, or advertising network.

The one feature that reaches the internet is "Search for it" in the search dialog. When you choose a chord site there, ChordSheet opens that site in your web browser with what you typed as the search. That request comes from your browser and is covered by that site's own privacy policy. Nothing is sent unless you choose a site.

Third-party services

None. ChordSheet ships with no analytics, no crash reporting service, no ads, and no social or login providers.

This website

This site is hosted on GitLab Pages. It sets no cookies and has no analytics. GitLab may keep standard server logs under its own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

ChordSheet is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
